The July 2010 Daring Bakers’ challenge was hosted by Sunita of Sunita’s world – life and food. Sunita challenged everyone to make an ice-cream filled Swiss roll that’s then used to make a bombe with hot fudge. Her recipe is based on an ice cream cake recipe from Taste of Home.
Decadence in every sense of the word! Due to a serious lack of time lately I did have to cheat and buy the ice creams...I know so uncool. But it still turned out to be fantastic, and much easier to assemble than I originally thought it would be. I haven't been doing these challenges for long, but so far this has been my favorite. For one it has ice cream, which is my drug of choice, and I had better luck with this one than I have with challenges in the past. So, all and all I was very pleased, and already wishing I had more...
Even if the ice cream is not originally made by you, you ice cream cake still looks simply irresistible.
